I urge the soccer community to consider and discuss how climate change will impact not only our beloved sport, but our world. Protecting our planet, our players, and our game needs to be seen through the lens of climate change if we want soccer to remain the preeminent sport in the world.

re—inc Lit
2022 | TH10

Introducing “Lit”, athlete and artist Tobin Heath’s tenth re—inc artwork. This piece is unique in that it is both inspiration for you—our community— and inspired by you. To Tobin, this community is a burning light of passion, reimagination, and collective beauty. And these are the themes embedded in this work of art.

Created on the dining room table in her Venice Beach bungalow, Lit was a labor of love. Ever the pluralist, Tobin spent her mornings rehabilitating a knee injury. As the long autumn afternoons stretched into darkness, Tobin painted, fighting to depict the light. Using acrylic on canvas and her signature technique, Tobin created the illusion of illumination. The painting appears to glow from within, a visual expression of the strength that she harnesses every day through her healing process.
